Celebrating the 1948 British Olympic Team
Touring Exhibition
1948 was the last time the Olympics was held in London. The contrast was stark; London was recovering from war, athletes weren’t paid, were training on rations whilst working full-time and most had to hand sew their own kits….. from 2007 to 2012 Katherine met, photographed and recorded interviews with the British Olympic Team from the 1948 Olympics. The exhibition toured the UK in 2012.
A self-initiated project and exhibition which toured the UK during the 2012 Olympics and was most recently shown at Open Eye Gallery, Liverpool as part of A Portrait Of…. (2 August – 29 July 2019).
